Location Damoh district, central India's Madhya Pradesh. Date: 2023-06-21

A cop in central India’s Madhya Pradesh performed water yoga for an hour on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2023.

He did this in the Narmada river on June 21. The policeman is named Bhagwan Das Dahiya and he is from Damoh district of the state.

Visuals showed Dahiya enter the water with folded arms before he crossed his legs and stretched out his arms, with closed eyes. His posture helped him stay floating on the water as he moved along with the light current in the river. He then proceeded to open his legs and stretch them along with his hands while floating in the water before folding them again. He performed this for one whole hour. Yoga helps keep the human body healthy, was Dahiya’s message as he performed this amazing feat.

Dahiya is a recipient of the State Bravery Award from the Madhya Pradesh government in 2014 and also was honoured with the Yoga award in 2019.
