Close shave for man after he falls on railway track in northern India

A man narrowly escaped death after falling onto the railway track in northern India’s Bihar.

The incident took place at Bagaha railway station, West Champaran district on September 29.

 

Visuals showed the young man lying down between the two tracks while the entire train passed over him. He was careful with his movements and stayed still, waiting for the train to pass. After the train had gone, RPF cop Harishchandra Yadav came to the aid of the victim, getting down on the track and picking him up. The man, identified as a 23-year-old named Prateek Kumar, suffered minor injuries and also had parts of his clothes torn in this incident. He nonetheless seemed to suffer an injury next to his ear and the people then quickly arranged for a towel, which was wrapped around his head.

Kumar, as per a report, was travelling from Bettiah to New Delhi when he had gotten down the train to purchase food items.

According to reports, the young man identified as Prateek Kumar (24), resident of Pokhara, Uttarwari, Bettiahhad, got down at the station to buy a cold drink and biscuits. Suddenly the train opened. While running to catch him, he fell under the platform. He then quickly attempted to board the train but instead slipped and fell on the platform. Kumar was then taken to the Sub-Divisional hospital where he was treated for his injuries before being handed over to his family members.
